Very Berry is a limited edition gin inspired by the botanicals that grow wild around the Darnley’s Gin cottage in Fife, Scotland. It is the first in the ‘Cottage Series’ created by Darnley’s Distiller, Scott Gowans. He took inspiration from the local area where he spent time growing up and in particular, the countryside where the distillery sits, to select the signature botanicals in Very Berry: sloe berry, rosehip, elderberry and sugar kelp.
Sugar Kelp gives both sweet and salty notes on the nose with Rosehip adding a fragrance of raspberry and hibiscus.
Tart up front with rich fruit from Elderberry and Sloes, finishing with a sweet and aromatic character.
Balanced with a coastal mineral flavour reminiscent of the beach near our distillery.

Ingredients:
25ml Darnley’s Very Berry
A good quality tonic
Grapefruit garnish
Method: Fill your glass with cubed ice. Add your measure of gin and top with a quality tonic (we like a 2:1 ratio). Garnish with a slice of grapefruit.

Red berry garnish.
